Eucharistic Adoration

The Most Holy ROSARY,

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION with BENEDICTION

Our Holy Family Council # 8701 of Morrisdale, PA conducts the recitation of the Most Holy Rosay, Eucharistic Adoration with Benediction several times throughout the year.  Our K of C Brother, Deacon Robert Hoover is the celebrant.  We attempt to move these devotions through the several churches in our service area.

"The beauty of the rosary is that it is not merely a vocal prayer. It is also a mental prayer," wrote Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. "One sometimes hears a dramatic presentation in which, while the human voice is speaking, there is a background of beautiful music, giving force and dignity to the words.

The rosary is like that. While the prayer is being said, the heart is not hearing music, but it is meditating on the life of Christ all over again, applied to one's own life and one's own needs."

You did not have to be a member of the Knights of Columbus to join us.  We invite the area rosary societies, entire Central Moshannon Cluster parishioners as well as our neighboring parishes to join us in prayer to honor our Blessed Mother and her Son as we pray for world peace.

The color corps of the Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul II Assembly #0952 in Clearfield, PA assists us in this special hour of prayer.  All fourth degree members are requested to wear tuxeudo and regalia.

My Lord God,

I have no idea where I am going

I do not see the road ahead of me.

I cannot know for certain where it will end.

Nor do I really know myself,

And the fact that I think I am following

your will does not mean that I am

actually doing so.

But I believe that the desire to please

you does in fact please you.

And I hope that I have that desire in all

that I am doing.

And I know that if I do this, you

will lead me by the right road

though I may know nothing about it.

Therefore will I trust you always

though I may seem to be lost

and in the shadow of death, I will

not fear, for you are ever with me

and you will never leave me

to face my perils alone.

You are Good, all Good, supreme Good, Lord God, living and true.

You are love.

You are wisdom.

You are humility.

You are endurance.

You are rest.

You are peace.
