We are located in
the beautiful mountains of central Pennsylvania and invite you to enjoy your visit with us.These pages exist to provide information
about the Knights of Columbus to our brother Knights, potential Knights, the Catholic community, and the public at large.
You will find this website contains general and historical information about the Knights of Columbus as well as information
about our Holy Family Council, the Catholic Church and the Catholic religion.
About
Our Council...
Holy Family Council 8701 was founded in 1984 through the efforts of a group of Catholic men that
met in Morrisdale, PA. The Holy Family Council consists of Catholic men from the Erie Diocese --St. Agnes in Morrisdale; Ss.
Peter & Paul in Hawk Run; Ss. Peter & Paul in Grassflat; Ss. Cryil & Methodius in Winburne; St. Marys in Frenchville;
and from the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese --Ss. Peter & Paul in Philipsburg; and from the Byzantine archdiocese of Pittsburgh,
St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Hawk Run; providing funds for various projects, members being active participants
in their parish such as priests, deacons, eucharistic ministers, ministers of hospitality, cantors, musicians, chior, religious
ed teachers, etc.
Council Information...
The Holy Family Council # 8701 meets
in the St. Agnes Parish Center located on St. Agnes Drive in Morrisdale, PA. Our "officers/committees meeting" is
the second Tuesday of each month while the General Business Meeting is held the fourth Tuesday of each month. Both meeting
have a 7:30 PM start time. A light luncheon is served following the General Business Meeting. The Grand Knight for 2008
